A BRAVE RETURN AMID PRIVATE PA!N 💔 After weeks away from the desk

Today anchor Savanna Guthrie has made the difficult decision to return to the morning show after spending weeks searching for her abducted mother.

Savannah’s mom Nancy Guthrie 84, was taken from her Arizona home in the early morning hours of February 1, and has been missing ever since.

A slew of ransom letters were sent via the media about her disappearance, allegedly without any proof of life offered.

While Savannah, 54, and her family’s horrific tragedy unfolded in national news, fans of the Today have speculated whether Savannah would return to her chair as the show’s lead anchor.

An insider told The U.S. Sun that Savannah is coming back to New York City after spending weeks in Arizona assisting law enforcement in her mom’s abduction case.

The insider said: “She’s coming back to New York, for her kids and their school, and her life.

“Savannah loves that job, and Nancy loved it, too.”

The source said that a couple of weeks ago, Savannah’s husband, political operative Michael Feldman, visited the Today studios and thanked everyone there for their prayers and assistance in spreading the word on air about Nancy’s case.

During that meeting, the insider said, Savannah’s husband assured the staff that his wife would be returning to work.

“The family is coming to terms with the idea that Nancy is likely gone; staying in Arizona isn’t going to help that,” another insider claimed.

However, a separate industry insider said Savannah will absolutely remain with NBC, but no one is sure in what capacity.

“There is no reason for her not to return, though reclaiming her seat and going back to the daily morning TV grind is a lot to ask after everything that’s happened,” the insider explained.

Savannah has been a main anchor on the show since 2012, after first appearing as a third-hour co-host the year prior.

According to Naughty But Nice’s Rob Shuter’s Substack, Savannah is driven by divine guidance as she navigates this difficult transition.

“Her faith is carrying her,” a source told Shuter. “And so are her children.”

The U.S. Sun reached out to Today reps for comment.

Shift in the investigation

Meanwhile, law enforcement is preparing to hand back Nancy’s home to the family, after first entering the property on February 1.
