Part 2: The Freezing of the Robles Empire
The metallic click of Alexander's lighter was the only sound that broke the suffocating silence of the penthouse salon.
He didn't stand up immediately; he slowly kissed Sofia's forehead, wiped a drop of blood from her cheek, and then rose to his full height.
Javier stepped backward into the doorframe, his hands trembling against his tuxedo lapels as Alexander's towering presence shadowed the entire room.
"Alexander, let's be rational here," Carmen stammered, her hands frantically clutching her gold necklace as her high-society composure completely disintegrated.
"It was a domestic dispute... a misunderstanding between women regarding the marital estate. Sofia was being uncooperative about the prenuptial agreements."
"You touched my blood, Carmen," Alexander said, his voice entirely level, flat, and devoid of any human warmth.
He didn't yell; he didn't reach for a weapon; he simply pulled a encrypted slate-black satellite phone from his pocket and pressed a single speed-dial button.
"This is Alexander Bennett," he said into the receiver, his cold eyes never leaving Carmen's pale, sweating face.
"Execute the immediate forensic liquidation on the Robles Legal Group and freeze all domestic assets tied to the Uptown commercial registries."
Javier's eyes widened in sheer panic as he looked at his mother. "Dad, wait! The Robles firm relies entirely on the Bennett family's offshore capital lines!"
"Not anymore, Javier," I intervened, stepping forward beside my ex-husband, the old fear of my own past completely erased by the sight of my wounded daughter.
"For three months, you played the role of the perfect, polite attorney while your mother measured the square footage of my daughter’s luxury condo."
"You thought Alexander was just an estranged father who wouldn't notice a quiet transfer of property in the Dallas registries."
"But you forgot that before the divorce, Alexander and I built the very corporate banking network that holds your family's entire debt structure."
