Claire read the first page and went pale.

Daniel nodded.

Financial influence mapped onto military reintegration programs.
Families were tracked.
Not as people.
But as stability indicators.
Claire whispered, “So we were never safe.”
Daniel corrected her gently:
“We were never unobserved.”
That night, he copied everything.

And sent it to one place:
A federal investigative channel that could not be blocked.
Within hours, alarms began to trigger across systems Daniel had never seen before.
