Chapter 5 - The Queen of the Underworld

The fall of the Bellini family was swift, brutal, and absolute.

Within forty-eight hours of the gala, Dante’s loyal forces executed a synchronized, multi-city raid against every illegal operation, shipping dock, and hidden vault controlled by the Bellini network across the East Coast.

Matteo Bellini and his senior captains were arrested by federal authorities after Dante’s intelligence team anonymously leaked six years of encrypted records detailing the Vance family massacre and illegal weapons trafficking. Isabella Bellini was stripped of every asset, asset-frozen by international courts, and permanently banished from high-society circles, forced to live in disgrace under federal surveillance.

The shadow that had hung over my life for six agonizing years was officially, permanently erased.

Six months later.

The summer sun shone brilliantly over the rolling green hills and crystal waters of the private Rossi estate overlooking the Hudson River.

The grand marble terrace was decorated with thousands of fresh white roses, silk drapes, and glowing crystal lanterns. Over three hundred guests—regional leaders, legitimate business partners, and loyal allies—filled the outdoor courtyard, celebrating a new era of peace and prosperity.

Standing near the altar under a canopy of blooming white jasmine, wearing an immaculate black tuxedo, stood Dante Rossi.

He looked towering, powerful, and strikingly handsome, his silver-gray eyes filled with an intense, overwhelming warmth as he watched the center aisle.

The heavy double glass doors of the mansion swung open, and soft violin music filled the warm summer air.

A collective, breathless gasp swept through the assembly.

I walked down the long white carpet, wearing a breathtaking, custom-designed white lace bridal gown with a sweeping silk train that sparkled under the afternoon sunlight. My hair was styled in elegant waves, a delicate diamond tiara resting atop my head. The scar near my eyebrow was no longer something I tried to hide; it was a badge of survival, a testament to my strength.

Walking beside me, guiding me down the aisle with deep pride, was Marcus, who had become like a protective elder brother to me over the past six months.

I reached the altar, and Dante stepped forward without taking his eyes off me for a single second. He took my soft hands into his broad, warm, tattooed grip, leaning down to whisper softly into my ear.

“You are the most breathtaking sight in the universe, my Queen,” Dante murmured, his voice rich with emotion.

“I love you, Dante,” I whispered back, a radiant smile illuminating my face.

The judge stepped forward, reading the sacred vows of marriage.

“By the power vested in me,” the judge declared loudly, smiling at the beaming crowd, “I now pronounce you husband and wife! Don Rossi, you may kiss your bride!”

Dante didn't hesitate for a fraction of a second. He pulled me gently into his broad, powerful arms, dipping me back slightly as he captured my lips in a deep, passionate, breathtaking kiss that sent a wave of thunderous applause and cheers echoing across the entire valley!

The crowd roared in celebration, clinking their champagne glasses together in grand honor!

Later that evening, as the silver stars began to twinkle over the quiet waters of the river, Dante and I stood together on the private balcony of our master suite, looking out over the peaceful grounds.

The cool night breeze swept across the balcony, lifting the lace of my dress.

Dante wrapped his massive arms gently around my waist from behind, pulling me flush against his warm, broad chest, resting his chin softly against my shoulder, pressing a tender kiss against my neck.

“What are you thinking about, Mrs. Rossi?” Dante whispered softly into my ear, his deep baritone filling my heart with an overwhelming sense of safety and peace.

I set my hands over his on my waist, looking down at the magnificent, flawless diamond wedding ring gleaming brightly on my finger.

“I was thinking about the electrical room,” I murmured with a soft, warm laugh, turning around in his arms to look up into his handsome face. “The night I tried to resign... I thought my life was completely over.”

Dante smiled deeply, his silver-gray eyes glowing with an eternal, unbroken devotion as he pulled me closer against his beating heart.

“You didn't resign, little bird,” Dante whispered against my lips, framing my face in his broad, tattooed hands. “You took your rightful place. You saved my life, my empire, and my soul.”

He leaned down and captured my lips in a slow, sweet, breathtaking kiss under the starlight, binding our hearts together for all eternity.

And standing high above the river, wrapped in the arms of the man who ruled New York, the former maid reigned triumphant—not as a servant, but as the cherished, undisputed Queen of the Rossi dynasty forever.
