Chapter 5 - The Queen of the Moretti Dynasty

Six months later.
The summer sun broke brilliantly over the rolling green hills and crystal waters of the Moretti estate, casting a golden light across the grand courtyard.
The mansion had been completely rebuilt, far more magnificent than before, decorated with thousands of fresh white roses, silk drapes, and sparkling crystal chandeliers. Over three hundred high-society guests, international shipping magnates, and syndicate leaders had gathered for the wedding of the decade.
Standing at the front of the altar under a canopy of blooming jasmine, wearing an immaculate black tuxedo, stood Lorenzo Moretti. He looked happier, healthier, and more radiant than anyone had ever seen him, his eyes glued to the center aisle.
Beside him stood his best man and head of security, Stefano, smiling broadly.
The grand double doors opened, and soft violin music filled the air.
A collective gasp swept through the crowd.
I walked down the white aisle, wearing a breathtaking, custom-designed silk and lace wedding gown with a flowing train that sparkled under the sunlight. My hair was styled in soft, elegant waves, a delicate diamond tiara resting atop my head. My hands were completely healed, holding a bouquet of fresh white peonies.
Lorenzo watched me walk toward him, tears glistening in his dark, handsome eyes.
When I reached the altar, Lorenzo took my hand in his firm, warm grip, leaning down to whisper softly, “You are the most breathtaking sight in the universe, my Queen.”
“I love you, Lorenzo,” I smiled radiantly.
The ceremony was breathtaking, filled with genuine love, sacred vows, and pure joy.
“I now pronounce you husband and wife,” the officiant announced loudly. “You may kiss the bride!”
Lorenzo pulled me into his broad arms and dipped me back slightly, capturing my lips in a deep, passionate, breathtaking kiss that sent a wave of thunderous applause and cheers echoing across the entire estate!
During the grand reception that evening, Stefano and the senior syndicate bosses raised their glasses high in a heartwarming toast to our future. The dark shadows of the past were permanently erased, replaced by a clean, prosperous era of legitimate maritime expansion and community philanthropy managed under my name.
As the sun began to set over the estate, casting a golden hue over the dancing crowd, Lorenzo guided me out onto the west terrace—our terrace.
He wrapped his broad arms gently around my waist from behind, resting his chin softly on my shoulder as we watched the glittering stars begin to appear in the summer sky.
“What are you thinking about, Mrs. Moretti?” Lorenzo whispered softly into my ear, his deep voice filling me with an overwhelming sense of warmth and security.
I set my hand over his on my waist, looking down at the magnificent diamond ring gleaming on my finger.
“I was thinking about the blizzard,” I murmured with a soft laugh, turning around in his arms to look up into his handsome face. “I thought I was going to sleep forever in the snow... but I was actually waking up to my true life.”
Lorenzo smiled warmly, his dark eyes glowing with an intense, everlasting devotion as he pulled me close against his heart.

“You didn't just survive the storm, Elara,” Lorenzo murmured, leaning down to capture my lips in a tender kiss. “You became the sun that chased all the dark away.”
Outside on the quiet terrace, the summer stars shone brightly over New York, illuminating a new legacy built on truth, unyielding protection, and an unbreakable, everlasting love that would reign forever.
