Chapter 13 - MY SHOE RACK

Then me.

I had destroyed property.

Several of Camilla’s designer heels were scratched.

One heel snapped.

Two vintage pairs belonging to Lila’s trust suffered surface damage when boxes fell.

My lawyers did not call it righteous property management.

I was angry.

I used the stool deliberately.

Camilla declined to pursue a separate civil claim beyond property reconciliation in the broken engagement settlement, but the estate incident report still documented it.

I personally paid for professional restoration of the trust pieces.

I compensated Camilla for damaged property through the settlement.

No family company.

No trust.

Me.

Lila later asked:

“Why you break shoes?”

I answered:

“Because I was angry.”

“Bad?”

“Yes.”

“But Camilla bad.”

“Yes.”

She frowned.
