Adrian assumed he would return to Bellemont.
Tenant.
Lease.
Possession.
Not so simple.
The residential lease had a domestic-safety provision permitting the landlord to seek termination for violent conduct creating material safety risks to household occupants, subject to notice and legal process.
Dad did not throw Adrian’s clothes onto the lawn.
Did not send men.
His property company served formal notice through counsel.
Adrian contested.
As was his right.
The matter settled.
He surrendered the Bellemont lease after sixty days in exchange for resolution of certain residential claims and an orderly property transfer.
Dad did not move me in automatically.
I did not want the house.
Too many rooms knew too much.
I rented a smaller residence five minutes from the hospital.
Dad complained about the kitchen.
