The Ventano Athletic board suspended Lucinda from the property committee immediately after the birthday.
Then independent review.
Not mine.
I recused from the process because Ruby was my daughter and I held interests connected to the club.
Good governance means sometimes leaving rooms where your anger is justified.
The review concluded:
Lucinda had authority to consider operational disruption when scheduling repair.
She also had credible safety information that justified more conservative action.
Deferring the first repair was questionable but not obviously reckless given conflicting inspection language.
Failing to close the stair after the second defect report was more serious.
Then her post-incident conduct.
Interfering with medical treatment.
Attempting to generate evidence.
Pressuring staff language.
That ended the debate.
She was removed permanently from the property committee chair.
No lifetime ban from the club.
No seizure of membership.

No destruction of her other assets.
She lost the role she abused.
